Tutu Atwell had the longest catch in the NFL in 2025, an 88-yard game-winning touchdown against the Colts. It could end up being the most expensive catch in NFL history.
The Rams have announced that Atwell is a healthy scratch for Sunday’s playoff game against the Chicago Bears, yet another nail in the coffin for fans who have argued that the fifth-year receiver “stretches the defense” and is an important component for Sean McVay’s offense. The Rams inexplicably paid Atwell a fully-guaranteed $10 million salary to not leave in free agency in 2025 and so far their returns are six catches.

Over $1.5 million per catch.
The Rams also announced that CB Derion Kendrick, RB Jarquez Hunter, S Tanner Ingle, TE Nick Vannett, T DJ Humphries, and QB Stetson Bennett will be inactive. Bennett will serve as the emergency QB, an important distinction because backup QB Jimmy Garoppolo was limited in practice this week.

Bennett can only enter the game if both Matthew Stafford and Garoppolo are too injured to play.
The Bears also announced their inactives, including left tackle Braxton Jones.
