Can't deny it I thought this was funny....

"Mike Alstott being out hurt worse than the Bucs thought it would. Undersized or not, that was a 178-yard knot ex-Buc Warrick Dunn put on the Jints' domes. And no, I don't count Michael Pittman as a running back. Now we can argue whether or not bodybuilding is a sport (although I won't argue it long -- posing, vamping, body-painting and Vogueing might be a sport to Madonna, or to Ah-nold, but not to moi) but we can't argue the fact that Mr. Pittman is not a world-championship-caliber back. Whatever else he is, he isn't that. He has a ring; but remember, the Bucs had three pick-and-goes in the last Super Bowl. That's 21 points from the defense, enough to win.

And whatever happened to Thomas Jones? Gru-Dog has an eye for wides and cubes and maybe O-linemen, but maybe he should bring in Bobby Mitchell, ex-Redskins exec now brooding in exile, to show him what a RB with upside looks like."

Must be wrong the league is full of ex Cardinal players excelling right?

On the Bronco board some guys were talking up their recent LB signee, Johnny Rutledge. When I pointed out how big of a bust he was here , some(certainly not all) kind of said yeah but the NFL is full of ex Cards excelling they have no idea what they're doing.

Somehow I doubt Rutledge is a Bronco next year they just signed him because they lost 2 LB's to injuries including Mobley whose career is likely over.

Mobley was taken off the field on a stretcher with a neck injury in his last game. he has movement and is recovering but the feeling in Denver is at his age it's a career ending injury. He's supposed to fully recover so don't think he's Daryl Stingley or anything, but right now Denver is operating under the assumption Mobley will not play again.

I hate to see anybody get hurt no matter who they play for, even the Cowboys!

What would be our record if we had our lineup with the following?

QB: Plummmer
WR: Boston
LB: Rutledge
RB: Pitman, Jones
OC: Marc Trestman

0-9 Surely one of them would have screwed up each of our three wins.

3-13?
7-9 ?
5-11?

The Cards might have scored more than 48 points total in their last three games though.

Going 8 consecutive games scoring 20 points or less is a terrible achievement considering the number of veteran players on the offense.

Of course it's not as bad as 1999 when they went 11 games without scoring more than 16 points.

Jones had a huge day, 9 carries 132 yards. Just think if he would have got 20 carries. The Bucs might have actually won. Thier 80% pass, 20% run isnt working this year. Their offense stinks....
