Weather could get in the way of the Los Angeles Dodgers’ game in Minneapolis on Tuesday.
The Boys in Blue, who are in town to play the Minnesota Twins, are expected to take the field for the second game of the series at 4:40 p.m. PT.
As of about 1:15 p.m., though, a tarp was on the infield as rain was pouring, according to beat reporters Dylan Hernandez of the California Post and Maddie Lee of the Los Angeles Times.
An image shared by Dodgers play-by-play broadcaster Tim Neverett showed a stormy scene in Minnesota.
As Lee detailed, “there’s plenty more precipitation in the forecast” as well.
Fabian Ardaya of The Athleticechoed that sentiment, describing the forecast as “…not great.”
What’s at stake this game for the Dodgers?
The Boys in Blue were surely hoping to get another win after taking the first game of the series 2-1 Monday night.

Another victory on Tuesday would’ve locked up a series win, even without injured stars Kyle Tucker and Dalton Rushing.
When the game is played, Justin Wrobleski (8-2) will be on the mound for the Dodgers. He has an ERA of 2.72 this season, as well as 50 strikeouts and a WHIP of 1.008.
What happens if the game is postponed?
If the Dodgers and Twins are unable to play Tuesday, they could play a doubleheader on Wednesday.
That game is also set for a 4:40 p.m. PT first pitch, so what would have been Tuesday’s game could be a daytime start.
It’s unclear how that might affect the lineup, though, as two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani is supposed to start Wednesday night’s game on the mound.

Ohtani has sometimes hit and pitched in the same game this season, but in some situations, manager Dave Roberts has limited Ohtani to pitching only on days he starts.
If Ohtani is set to start the second game of a doubleheader, it could result in his being held out of hitting both games.
