Cornerback was one of the biggest needs for the Las Vegas Raiders in the 2025 NFL Draft, but they waited until the third round to address it by selecting Darien Porter. He was the only cornerback the team ended up drafting.
However, the Raiders have been active adding cornerbacks on the undrafted free agent market. One of the names they're bringing is former USC cornerback Jamie "Greedy" Vance Jr., per NFL insider Aaron Wilson.
He played 11 games for the Trojans last season, where he had 22 combined tackles and an interception. Prior to joining USC, Vance had also played for Louisville and Florida State.

Pete Carroll's USC ties continue to run deep, so he should have some strong intel on Vance. He has average size at 5-foot-10, and didn't run particularly well at his USC pro day, when he ran a 4.64 40-yard dash.
That said, he does have plenty of experience, having played in 54 games in his college career. The Raiders' cornerback room is very young, so there's a chance for a young player like Vance to make the team.
It'll certainly be an uphill battle, but Carroll is all about letting players compete regardless of their experience or draft status. While the Raiders did great work upgrading a number of positions in the draft, cornerback is still a bit of a red flag.
Porter has incredible upside, but he's also very raw. The Raiders will likely continue to look to add a veteran to the room before training camp.
