It may seem like free agency has opened, but it hasn't. Not officially, anyway. We are in the free agent negotiating period right now, which means teams have until Wednesday before their own free agents officially hit the open market. On the eve of that, the Las Vegas Raiders placed tenders on two of the Restricted Free Agents.

Tuesday, Las Vegas put an original round tender on DT Thomas Booker and a standard tender on OL Jordan Meredith.

Booker was acquired by the Raiders during last year's camp in a trade with the Eagles in exchange for CB Jakorian Bennett. Booker appeared in 17 games with 13 starts in Las Vegas where he put up career bests in tackles (44), QB hits (seven) and pass breakups (five). He was originally a round five pick so the tender means if a team signs him away, the Raiders would receive a round five pick in return.

Meredith's tender gives the Raiders right of first refusal should another team wish to sign him. The former undrafted free agent out of Western Kentucky appeared in 13 games last season with a career-high 11 starts at center and guard.
