Geraldo Perdomo leads all qualified MLB shortstops in fielding % (.988) and has made only 6 errors

He's been worth +7 runs according to both FRV from Statcast and DRS from Fielding Bible ( used at Baseball Reference)

He is without question the glue of the D-backs defense.

Looks like Justin Martinez will get one or two more outings before returning to the Diamondbacks next week on the road. l would expect either the final game of the Atlanta series on Sunday or first of the Boston series Monday.

Merrill Kelly's 5.11 ERA is currently the third-worst qualified figure in MLB.

Only Aaron Nola (5.47) and Freddy Peralta (5.33) are worse.

-Gerardo Carrillo made 8 appearances and allowed 1 ER in 13.2 IP. 8 walks are not ideal, but Carrillo stepped up in key moments. Tough break, but good depth.

-Tyler Locklear was not playing every day, but he showed more promising signs with a .278/.357/.444 line than last year.
