Raiders' Maxx Crosby sends clear message after meeting QB Kirk Cousins originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Maxx Crosby did not want to remain in the Las Vegas Raiders for some time. However, after a trade to the Baltimore Ravens collapsed when their medical staff flagged concerns during Crosby's physical, the pass rusher returned to a franchise he had previously requested a trade from.
Crosby has been present in the facilities during the offseason program, and based on his latest social media activity, the player appears to be someone who believes in what the team has been trying to sell him.
Crosby on Kirk Cousins turned heads
Crosby talked about meeting the Raiders' new quarterback on his podcast The Rush.
"Ran into Kirko Bangs. It was dope we had a great conversation, he was awesome definitely fired me up," Crosby said. "Dude has done a lot of great things in this league, adding him to the squad is gonna help a lot, we got more pieces coming as well."
It looks like Crosby is hinting at more to come. From someone who nearly became a Raven a couple of weeks ago, that kind of statement stands out.

Cousins himself talked about Crosby in an interview for the team's YouTube channel. Cousins noted the Raiders' defensive end as one of the few players who are being game planned against every snap.
Moreover, Cousins noted that Crosby's passion and energy would impact the entire locker room positively and that he was eager to work alongside him.
The Raiders signed Cousins to a one-year, $20 million contract to bridge the gap until the team's expected top draft pick, Fernando Mendoza, is ready to take over at quarterback.
Cousins and the Raiders' head coach, Klint Kubiak, have previously worked together in Minnesota, which means they will be on the same page when it comes to game planning.
Barely a month after a trade fell through and sent him back to Las Vegas, Crosby looks excited about the situation he is currently in.
If the team adds more pieces to the roster before landing Mendoza, this team might look vastly different by Sep.
