I see no upside right now. We're trying to win right now and I just dont know what kind of locker room presence he is. They said he was not liked on the Texans at all, and he blew off meetings and practices and actually skipped the flight home, that's why they finally released him. He might be good and just need the right environment, but I'm not willing to gamble the chemistry of this team, this season, to bring him in at all.

No Logan THomas didn't. He had tools but no talent. Mallet has both, just needs to get his head on straight.

Talented guys who can't find a way into a starter's role are telling you that they have so many other issues, that it overshadows their talent. QB is a position where if he doesn't have the maturity or work ethic when he enters the league, he will never develop it.

That Brett Faver guy did ok. And, no, I'm not saying Mallet can be a Faver.

then why bring him up?
Because I was using him as an example of an immature guy maturing. I don't think that will happen with Mallet, thus the disclaimer.

For the most part Chopper is right though.
