The Philadelphia Eagles kept the Quarterback Factory alive during the 2025 NFL Draft, drafting Syracuse QB Kyle McCord in the sixth round.

After leaving Ohio State for the Orange, McCord led the FBS in passing yards last year and set the ACC's single-season passing yards record (4,779). McCord was raised in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, and attended high school at St. Joe's Prep, where he was a five-star recruit.

McCord is the first Syracuse player the Eagles have selected since 1999, when they selected one of the all-time greats, quarterback Donovan McNabb.

McNabb became a six-time Pro Bowler and led Philadelphia to seven playoff berths, five NFC East titles, five NFC championship games, and one Super Bowl appearance. McCord won't unseat Jalen Hurts as the franchise QB, but he'll start his NFL career where he watched most of McNabb's games.

"McNabb was the man growing up," McCord said after getting drafted. "Being a South Jersey kid, he was kind of my idol. Going to St. Joe's Prep and win the state championships, we would get sideline passes for a game. Just a lot of great memories. I remember in 1st grade I played the halftime game at a Temple game and threw a touchdown pass at the Linc. I have a lot of great memories and looking to make a lot more."
