The more Nikola Jokic plays basketball, the more he continues to prove himself as one of the truly all-time great players in the history of the NBA.
The Denver Nuggets center has certainly come a long way since his draft selection was announced during a Taco Bell commercial.
His latest feat certainly ranks near the top of everything he has ever done, with this gem of a stat from OptaStats:
"There have been over 1.4 million total 10-game spans by players in NBA history, including playoffs. In none of them did a player have as many points, rebounds and assists as Nikola Jokić during the Nuggets' current 10-game winning streak (252 points, 145 rebounds, 127 assists)."
It's hard to fathom how impressive that statistic is, but put another way -- the Nuggets are on a 10-game winning streak in which Jokic is averaging 25.2 points, 14.5 rebounds and 12.7 assists per game.

The history of that statistical gem didn't even involve a winning streak component. That just happens to be what Jokic and the Nuggets are up to, as well.
To appreciate the brilliance of what Jokic is doing even more, this is how his last 10 games have gone, listed from least recent to most recent:
- 22 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists
- 22 points, 14 rebounds, 14 assists
- 23 points, 17 rebounds, 17 assists
- 23 points, 21 rebounds, 19 assists
- 33 points, 15 rebounds, 12 assists
- 25 points, 15 rebounds 8 assists
- 15 points, 17 rebounds, 12 assists
- 40 points, 8 rebounds, 13 assists
- 35 points, 14 rebounds, 13 assists
- 14 points, 16 rebounds, 10 assists
Maybe the most amusing part of looking at Jokic's game log is noticing that the game before this 10-game span started, he had 29 points, 14 rebounds and 9 assists.
He's one of the most astounding players in the NBA in pretty much every way aside from earth-shattering athleticism.
Maybe he can't jump out of the gym, but Jokic doesn't need to. He has more skill than pretty much anyone who has ever played this sport.
It can be easy to take it for granted, almost because it seems so easy for Jokic to put up these crazy numbers.
There's never been someone like Jokic, though. Appreciate him while he's here. He's truly one of the all-time legends of the game of basketball.
