Next summer, PSG is expected to be particularly active. In terms of departures, the French capital club could lose several young players, including Mathis Jangeal.
It is not easy for a young player to establish himself in a club like PSG. Manager Luis Enrique is very demanding and favors elements already ready for the very high level.
That does not mean that youth is a hindrance in itself, quite the contrary with the Spanish coach. But competition remains fierce, and among players from the Parisian academy, few manage to generate unanimity.
This season, Jangeal, 17, had a few appearances with Enrique's first team. The attacking midfielder could therefore leave the club and sign his first professional contract elsewhere. Especially since several teams are interested in his profile.
According to the latest information from Le Parisien, Jangeal is notably being courted insistently by Bundesliga side Hamburger SV. The German club greatly appreciates his profile and wishes to offer him the necessary playing time to progress at the highest level in a championship known for being formative and attacking.
Note that Paris Saint-Germain remains in contact with his entourage in order to try to find common ground for an extension. But the trend leans more and more toward a departure for the young Parisian ****.
Next summer, the European champions will aim to strengthen only a few positions in Enrique's squad. Young players from the academy will therefore have a hard time finding a place, even if the former Barca coach remains attentive to their development.
Like Jangeal, Ibrahim Mbaye could also look elsewhere. The Senegalese international was also left out of the capital club's squad for the hosting of Olympique Lyonnais on Sunday night in Ligue 1 at the Parc des Princes (1-2).
