Paris Saint-Germain have reached an agreement with Monaco for the signing of playmaker Maghnes Akliouche, the Press Association understands.
Champions League holders PSG have tracked France international Akliouche all summer, but after multiple bids were rejected by their Ligue 1 rivals, Liverpool made an enquiry for the 24-year-old earlier in July to provide competition in the battle for the left-footed attacker’s signature.
However, an agreement has finally been struck between PSG and Monaco for the services of Akliouche, who will depart for a fee in the region of €50 million ($57.4 million).
Akliouche will leave Monaco after 51 goal involvements in 139 appearances for his boyhood club.
The arrival of Akliouche at PSG may spark a domino effect in the transfer window and could allow Bradley Barcola to leave Parc des Princes amid interest from Liverpool.
