PSG lead race to sign Monaco’s Maghnes Akliouche

Paris Saint-Germain are leading the race to sign AS Monaco forward Maghnes Akliouche (24), as per a report from Fabrizio Romano.

Akliouche is set to leave his formative club this summer. He was touted to leave last summer, but the price tag set by the Principality club proved prohibitive. Monaco, however, won’t stand in his way this summer.

There is plenty of interest. Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur were two of the clubs in the race last season. Romano evokes interest from two (unnamed) Premier League clubs, but reports that it is PSG, potentially in the market for a replacement for Lee Kang-in, who leads the race.

Les Monégasques are expecting bids soon; talks and approaches are “intensifying”, Romano adds. Foot Mercato, meanwhile, understand that the playmaker, currently at the 2026 FIFA World Cup with France, has already spoken with Luis Enrique and has agreed to join PSG. Lee’s prospective move to Atletico Madrid would allow the move to be completed.
