The Los Angeles Dodgers have been one of the most active teams in the offseason, to no one’s surprise. Now, with the offseason winding down, they could make one more move to make sure they are guaranteed to three-peat.
According to Fansided’s Mark Powell and Wynston Wilcox, that move is trading for Minnesota Twins two-time All-Star and Wilson Overall Defensive Player of the Year Byron Buxton. Buxton would anchor the outfield, and provide another All-Star bat to their lineup.

“What big-named player isn't going to have the interest of the LA Dodgers, right? They could use an upgrade on the corners in the outfield so this makes sense. And if you want to stay atop of MLB, the best way to do it is to have a bulletproof lineup. Adding Buxton just improves the bottom of their order. The only dangerous team is one that has a reputable batter, one through nine,” Powell and Wilcox wrote.
This past season, Buxton slashed .264/.327/.551/.878 with 21 doubles, 35 home runs, and 83 RBI in 126 games played. He would replace Andy Pages in the outfield, and would bring more power and a better glove as well.

He’s also incredibly cheap by the Dodgers’ standards. He's only set to make around $45 million over the final three years of his contract.
With time running out, the Dodgers better consider this trade soon before someone else does.
