A pair of noteworthy mock drafts were posted on Wednesday, April 15, with both projecting the Cincinnati Bengals to take LSU cornerback Mansoor Delane.
ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. has the LSU corner who spent three seasons at Virginia Tech at the 10th pick overall. The first round of the 2026 NFL draft is scheduled for April 23 in Pittsburgh.
Dane Brugler from The Athletic follows suit with Delane with Ohio State linebacker Sonny Styles and Miami Hurricanes edge Ruben Bains Jr. theoretically off the board by then.
Kiper and Brugler disagree in Round 2 with Kiper going with Texas A&M outside linebacker/edge Cashius Howell who had 11.5 sacks and 16.5 tackles for loss last season.
Brugler opts for Clemson defensive tackle Peter Woods, having Howell already off the board. The 6-foot-3, 315-pound Woods had 30 tackles for the Tigers last season with two sacks.
Brugler's mock covers the entire draft with Kiper just publishing the first two rounds.
Round 3, Josiah Trotter, linebacker, Missouri – 43 tackles, two sacks in 2025 as a sophomore.
Round 4, Joshua Josephs, edge, Tennessee –33 tackles, four sacks, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries for Vols as senior.
Round 5 (no pick, traded to Browns)
Round 6, Kaden Wetjen, wide receiver, Iowa – 20 catches for 151 yards for one touchdown, plus 15 rushes for 79 yards and two scores. Wetjen is 5-foot-9 and 196 pounds.
Round 6 (from Browns), Bishop Fitzgerald, safety, USC – 34 tackles for the Trojans with five interceptions for a touchdown plus a sack.
Round 7 (from Cowboys), Adam Randall, running back, Clemson –814 yards for 10 touchdowns for the Tigers, plus 36 receptions for 253 yards and three scores. Randall is 6-foot-2 and 230 pounds.
Round 7, Ar'maj Reed-Adams, guard, Texas A&M – Reed-Adams is 6-foot-5 and 325 pounds.
