The 2026 MLB Draft is officially in the rear-view mirror.

Players have until 5 p.m. ET on Monday, July 27 to sign their contracts or opt to play collegiately in 2027. Arkansas baseball will likely lose all 12 players selected earlier this month — who will now begin their professional careers.

Junior catcher Ryder Helfrick was the top pick for coach Dave Van Horn this draft cycle. He went No. 15 overall to the Arizona Diamondbacks, while lefty ace Hunter Dietz and righty Carson Wiggins were also chosen in the first round. Arkansas led all college programs with three picks in the top-40.

The Razorbacks received a few punches to its transfer portal class. Infielders Wills Maginnis and Ben Cleary both got drafted. So did right-handed pitcher Chris Diaz.
