The Pro Football Writers of America released their All-NFL and All-Conference on Monday, and the Chicago Bears were one of nine teams to have multiple honorees on the All-NFL list.
Guard Joe Thuney was honored for the third time in his career, as was safety Kevin Byard III. Additionally, center Drew Dalman was named to the All-NFC team. Byard was brought in by Ryan Poles in 2024 on a two-year contract and is a pending free agent. Meanwhile, both Thuney and Dalman were both part of the effort in the last offseason to rebuild the offensive line in response to the continued struggles in the unit.
All three players have already been named to the Pro Bowl in recognition of their solid work as part of Chicago’s first winning season since 2018.
The selectoins of Thuney and Dalman, in particular, are yet another acknowledgement of the overall work that has been done by the Bears to build a dominant front. Earlier this year, Thuney and Darnell Wright earned 1st-team and 2nd-team All Pro honors, respectively.
