BASEBALL​


EASTERN 19, SEXTON 3 / EASTERN 17, SEXTON 6

Beckett Stevens and Tino Pecina each notched their first victories of the season as the Quakers picked up a pair of nonleague wins over Sexton. Matthew Morse finished with three hits and four runs scored and Wylie Scott added four hits and five RBI for Eastern. Chris Ware picked up two hits and two RBI for the J-Dubbs.

PORTLAND ST. PATRICK 5, BATH 0 / PORTLAND ST. PATRICK 9, BATH 2

Jerryd Scheurer went 5-for-7 with four runs scored and drove in two while helping the Shamrocks to a CMAC doubleheader sweep. Brady Leonard allowed just two hits and struck out 11 while throwing a complete game shutout in the opener, while Charlie Thelen was 3-for-4 with a double, triple and two RBI.

LANSING CATHOLIC 6, MASON 2 / MASON 3, LANSING CATHOLIC 1

Maddox Armour finished with four total hits, three runs scored and a RBI as the Bulldogs split the nonleague twinbill with Lansing Catholic. Joey Schild picked up three hits and a double and Alex Engel notched the victory on the mound in game two for Mason. Elijah Jungwirth tallied the victory to go with a double and RBI and Alex Fernandez chipped in four hits and two RBI for the Cougars.

DeWITT 6, OKEMOS 5 / OKEMOS 14, DeWITT 4

James Poletes racked up five hits and two RBI as the Wolves (9-6, 5-1) split the CAAC Blue doubleheader with DeWitt. Carter Haremski notched the win in game two and Caleb Wilkinson finished with three RBI and a double for Okemos. Sam Leonard picked up the win for the Panthers (5-3, 5-2) in game one and Joseph Bobeda went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI for DeWitt.

WILLIAMSTON 10, PORTLAND 0 / WILLIAMSTON 4, PORTLAND 3

SOFTBALL​


LAINSGBURG 10, FOWLER 9 / FOWLER 6, LAINGSBURG 4

Bella Latuszek led the Wolfpack with five hits, a triple and three runs scored as Laingsburg split the CMAC doubleheader with Fowler. Savvy Stirm went 3-for-3 with a RBI and three runs scored and Peyton Stahr notched the victory for Laingsburg. Makenna Johnston hit the walk-off single for Laingsburg in its win. Saige Miller tallied five hits and a home run and Paisley Hansen and Addison Spicked each chipped in three hits and a RBI for the Eagles.

PERRY 13, SARANAC 1 / PERRY 11, SARANAC 5

Sara Austin picked up both victories, tallied five hits, five doubles and nine RBI to lead the Ramblers to a CMAC sweep over Saranac. Teagan Hallock finished with five hits and six runs scored and Madison Ralston tacked on a double and two RBI for Perry.

EATON RAPIDS 3, ST. JOHNS 1 / EATON RAPIDS 15, ST. JOHNS 0

Mallory Smith went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI and three runs scored in game two as the Greyhounds secured a pair of nonleague wins over St. Johns. Ari Brooks picked up the win in game one, Abi Pratt finished with three RBI and Kalli Ordiway hit a home run and notched the victory in game two for Eaton Rapids.

LANSING CATHOLIC 5, MASON 4 / LANSING CATHOLIC 8, MASON 6

Avery Dunneback went 5-for-5 while helping the Cougars to a nonleague doubleheader sweep of Mason. Lansing Catholic held off a late charge in the opener as the Bulldogs plated four runs in the seventh. Zoey Gruber picked up both pitching wins for the Cougars. Mia Trigo had four hits in the doubleheader to lead Mason.

PORTLAND ST. PATRICK 2, BATH 0 / BATH 21, PORTLAND ST. PATRICK 6

Mattie Honsowitz picked up 14 strikeouts and Gracelyn Rockey went 2-for-3 in game one to help the Shamrocks split the CMAC doubleheader with Bath. Naomi Hass, Megan Myers and Macie Leonard each tallied an RBI for Portland St. Patrick.

FOWLERVILLE 13, EAST LANSING 5 / FOWLERVILLE 9, EAST LANSING 2

Avery Borg went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBI and Tommi Kleinschmidt had a double and a triple and RBI for the Gladiators in their opening win. Michaela Gulledge and McKayla Fletcher each had two RBI in the second game as Fowler completed the nonleague sweep.

GIRLS TENNIS​


FOWLERVILLE 4, ST. JOHNS 4

Morgan Thomas, Payton McConnaughey and Anna Arnot each secured a victory in singles for the Gladiators in a CAAC Red tie with St. Johns. The Redwings took 3-of-4 doubles matchups led by the team of Emma Burnham and Bree Fleischer.

OVID-ELSIE 7, LESLIE 1

Ellyanna Carman, Jenna Tomasek and Evaley Swender each picked up singles victories to push the Marauders to a nonleague victory over Leslie. Bristol Scavarda picked up the singles win for the Blackhawks.

GOLF​


FOWLER 162, DANSVILLE 196

Alex Baker shot a 45 and Sawyer Anderson had a round of 48 to lead Dansville in its CMAC loss.
