East Lansing’s Kamden Bigham-Tsai and Grand Ledge’s Jackson Shaltry were each double individual winners at the CAAC Showcase hosted by Lansing Catholic.

Bigham-Tsai won the 110 and 300 hurdles and Shaltry won the shot put and discus at the meet featuring athletes from CAAC Blue, Red and White schools. Bigham-Tsai set a personal best in the 110 hurdles with his time of 14.70, while Shaltry had a personal-best throw in the discus of 176 feet, 2 inches.

East Lansing also had a double individual girls winner in freshman Cayla Hawkins, who won both the 100 and 200 dashes. Hawkins had a personal best time of 11.85 in the 100.

BASEBALL​


OKEMOS 9, ST. JOHNS 1 / OKEMOS 10, ST. JOHNS 2

Xavier Sapotichne and Carter Haremski each picked up wins for the Wolves as they secure a nonleague double-header sweep over St. Johns. Keagan Noble and Brett Burak each grabbed two hits, a double and two RBI, James Poletes notched a home run and Ryan Adams added on two RBI for Okemos. Nolan Koenigsknecht and Collin Buzinski each tallied two hits for the Redwings.

MASON 16, EAST LANSING 8 / MASON 7, EAST LANSING 1

Travis Davis grabbed five hits, a double, five RBI and five runs scored to propel the Bulldogs past East Lansing for a pair of nonleague wins. Joey Schild picked up four hits and a double, Gerrit Koot and Brayden Carl each tacked on two hits and Hayden Hendrickson and Colton McCaleb each grabbed a win for Mason. Paul VanDam homered in game one with 2RBI and Josh Mireles chipped in three hits and an RBI for the Trojans.

SOFTBALL​


PERRY 14, WEBBERVILLE 10 / PERRY 16, WEBBERVILLE 10

Alivia Davis led the Ramblers going 6-for-8 with five doubles, a home run and eight RBI as Perry picked up a pair of wins over Webberville. Bella Hamel picked up five hits and a home run, Ava Positano tacked on four RBI and Emma Winans tacked on three hits and four runs scored for Perry. Makayla Culver picked up four hits, a triple and four RBI and Payten Sholty chipped in three hits and a double for the Spartans.

DANSVILLE 20, VANDERCOOK LAKE 0 / DANSVILLE 14, VANDERCOOK LAKE 1

Laci Neal had 12 RVI and a pair of home runs for the Aggies in their doubleheader sweep of Vandercook Lake. Neal added 11 strikeouts in the opening win, while Margo Kuznicki added four hits for Dansville (22-5) in Game 2.
