damnit i wish i had posted before cheesy. i too see this as a trap game. cards feeling good about their win, coming home, and the giants apparant downward spiral. i feel tiki going for like 178 yards rushing. i think josh doesn't show much, despite having some time to throw this week.

giants 20
cards 17

josh, make me wrong, i dare you.

Some no named defensive end of the giants will be a star. The clown gets a lot of time and still as usual does nothing with it......

Running game picks up with smith and hambrich though.

24-20 Giants

Mark My Words: Osi Umenyiora will be better than Washington. He will be in Josh's face, as will Fred Robbins. I actually think Fred Robbins will have a great day getting pressure up the middle.

I think the Cards might lose this one. It will be very, very close.

I see a 'poopie' first quarter from the Cards (G:14-AZ:0)
I see a mediochre 2nd qtr (G:14-AZ:6)
I see a 'lights out' 3rd qtr (G:14-AZ:20)
I see a lose on the last series in the 4th qtr (G:21-AZ:20)

Thanks, Josh.

Defense pressures the crap out of Warner....4 sacks and he turns the ball over 4 times. Cards win 26-14

Hard to pressure an experienced guy like Warner as he will get rid of the ball quick to his hot receiviers. St Louis ate us up with those short over the middle passes. We are a zone coverage team and Warner comes from that same St Louis team that knew how to exploit its weakness. Somehow we need to score first and not be predictable by running 2 and then passing or 3d down. Pull something out of the playbook please to confuse the Giants.

For some reason I see us losing this game. I think Josh deserves another start after last week's fourth quarter drive but man - he has looked REALLY bad for the most part since the first quarter of the Seattle game.

Tiki's going to go nuts against us and we won't get another defensive TD.

Final score:

Giants 19
Cards 13

It's all on Josh IMO.

If the Giants get out in front of us early by 7-10 points it will be a long day. Josh will have to play better than he previously has and we somehow must stop Barber from getting 5 yds or more on lst down. Our offensive play calling must be a lot better than it has and our penalities must be cut in half. We play good and they play bad we win. We play good and they play good we lose as man for man they are a better team. Give us 3 for playing at home. In my dreams we win 24-21. If I were betting $10K I give the points and take the Giants.

Our defense comes out and plays very well initially. Our run game starts out well in the first series, leading to a field goal. Problem is, our offense can't get it going and McCown doesn't throw worth a damn, and the Giants start keying on the run just like the Dolphins did, and throwing the kitchen sink at us in pass coverage. Our D finally breaks down under the pressure, through no fault of their own, because our O puts them in bad situations. Prove me wrong, boys.

You make a good point about the defense being put in bad situations because of our poor offense. Our defense is probably really better than we give it credit for. I wonder how much time the defense has spent on the field vs the opposition defense?

Warner hasn't been the same QB for a couple of years now, and I would expect him to try and run the ball alot and throw to his TE. We have to have Dansby sitting on the TE and jumping routes to get picks. IF they run to set up the pass and are successful it will be a long day. But I have confidence that we will indeed pressure Warner into costly mistakes. Then we just hope the offense can do what we all hope they can do. Start capitalizing on TO. Ohh, and special teams has to not allow any scores.

Cards 34 Giants 24

Cards start strong, leading by over 20 points; Warner has 4 turnovers; we see Eli - who makes 2 great plays and then a huge mistake. Giants come on strong in second half, but a turnover kills their momentum.

Here's how I see it:

60% probability ouchie and cheese are correct - we lose by about 23-13
20% probability we win another close one because of Kurt Warner turnovers
20% probability we win big when Warner gets yanked and Pendergast befuddles Eli Manning.

Exactly the type of winnable game the Cardinals have screwed up in the past.

Giants - 24
Cardinals - 13

This is exactly the kind of game that I always pick the Cards to win, so my koolaid prediction is:

Cards 27, Gmen 14

This will be a very tough game...

But the Cardinals WILL win.

It will be a nail biter and the 12th man will help them pull it out.

27-24.

With their D line in disary and MR Shelton wanting to keep his starting spot at RT this could portend to be an excellent opportunity for Josh and company. I believe we'll be able to establish the run early and force them to 8 in the box which is what coach Greens scheme is all about.
This week will tell If Josh is truly the player that Coach Green believes he is. THere is no doubt about his will and toughness but this week will show if he has the maturity to read and audible the coverages and to take advantage of what Mr Smith, Scobey, and Hambrick have set up for him.
Even more importantly we'll see if he has established the timing and game tempo with this talented Recieving corps to be able to devastate a defence.
Of course our kicking and return teams, I hesitate to call them special, will need to give us field position and not give away points. Also coach Penndergast (sp) will need devise a scheme to shut down their running game while confusing Warner. Pace in coverage? Who knows with this guy!
All in all I see an opportunity to make a statement this Sunday and send the giants fans home early. THeres nothing better than watching these uninvited guests walking out with their heads hanging down as we take back our House.

I usually avoid making predictions but I'm confident that we will win this game. I base this on the following:

a) NY are hurting thru injuries on both the D (Barrett Green; Michael Strahan and Washington are awfully big shoes to fill on short notice) as well as the O (Shaun O'hara-C and Luke Petitgout-OT are questionable as to whether they will be playing). If they turn out to be "no-shows", then Tiki is compromised.

b) Warner is proving to be a liability once again.........fumbling,throwing INT's and getting sacked at will. There are questions as to his command and control over the offense. There is a QB controversy in play, which is not healthy no matter how you look at it.

c) Their WR'S are no longer "world beaters".

d) Their schedule (somewhat soft in the 1st half of the season) played into a 5-3 record that doesn't really tell the true story as to how good they really are. I'm of the opin that they will stuggle to finish at 8-8.

e) They are of course, playing on the road, are coming off a terrible loss vs. Chicago and are "running scared". This might set up for a so called "trap" conditions but I don't see the Cards becoming over confident/complacent for any opponent this year under Green.

f) I see the Miami "W" as a real motivator for the team and sense a growing "let's win this game" mentality forming.

My predication: Cardinals 34; Giants 14

If ouchie and cheese are saying the Cards lose by about 23-13, then that pretty much confirms it for me..... 60% possibility that the Cards should win by about 23-13.

The Giants board seems to be in unanimity predicting a Giants victory with some saying it will be easy and others saying it will be close.

I say we win this game...we're really not a bad team at home..they are missing some of their best defensive starters...even if some of the guys behind them are pretty good it will really hurt their substituting. The biggest advantage for us might be their oline which is quite hurt and will probably hurt Tiki's chances of a big game.

I think Fitz's ankle might be feeling better because he was getting open a lot more last game. Hopefully Rackers is back to his healthy, reliable self. Hey people we beat the Seahawks at home, why can't we beat the Giants?!

I say 24-21 Cardinals...
