Last season the Pittsburgh Steelers offense was a huge letdown despite multiple additions. New head coach Mike McCarthy has wasted no time in shoring up several different depth charts on offense but there is still more work to be done. But as of now, we've decided to update our predictions for the Steelers Week One starting offense.
Yes, we think Rodgers comes back for another season and he performs much better than last season with an improved supporting cast around him and a much better offensive system under McCarthy.
We list Warren here as the starter but much like last season, we look for the Steelers run game to be a tandem effort. The addition of Rico Dowdle adds a different dimension to the run game and pairs perfectly with Warren to just wear down defenses.
2025 did not go as planned for Metcalf after being traded to the Steelers so he should be the most excited about the changes in personnel and shceme.
Pittsburgh traded for Pittman Jr. on the first day of the legal tampering period and his addition alone makes this a completely different unit. Pittman's versatility and work ethic has allowed him to be highly productive despite questionable quarterback play and he has a shot at a breakout season in Pittsburgh.
The way Freiermuth was treated in the Arthur Smith offense was criminal and we are hopefully McCarthy rights that wrong this season by making Freiermuth a much more active part of the passing offense.
We aren't sure if Broderick Jones is going to be healthy at the start of the season and even if he is, we aren't sure if he's a better option than Cook as of right now.
There's a good chance the Steelers add a veteran here or even a top rookie but as of now, we are comfortable with Anderson getting the nod in place of Isaac Seumalo to start the year.
Frazier has quickly established himself as one of the best centers in the AFC and is the leader of this group.
McCormick is a throwback player who wins with power and strength of will and should be a huge asset to this offense as he keeps getting better.
Lost in all the drama at left tackle last season was how well Fautanu played in his first season as the starting right tackle.
