It would be awesome if we beat the Rams and the 9ers beat the Hags... But, if we win another game after that, getting us to 12 wins, that will most likely tie us with Green Bay (if the Packers don't go on to put up 13 wins). If we tie with Green Bay (just can't see that happening...), who owns the tie breaker in that scenario?

Should be the Cards...

I don't know all of the ins and outs but, our conference records would be the same at 9 & 3... So not sure what is used after that to determine the tie-break winner...
Not sure if matters though as I really don't see the Cards getting to 12 wins. Hope I'm wrong!!

Depends on which games we and they win.

If the Cardinals win against STL and any other game (12-4), and the Seahawks lose to SF, we would clinch the West.

If the Packers beat BUF and either TB or DET, we win the tie-breaker on conference record.

If the Packers beat TB and DET but lose to BUF, the conference record is tied and it goes to common games (DET/ATL/SEA/PHI). GB would be 3-2. We would be 2-2 with SEA game pending. If we lost that one (and instead beat SF), we would lose the tie-breaker. If we won that one (and lost to SF), it goes to strength-of-victory, which we currently lead by a good margin, especially if you throw in that SEA win.

That makes sense. Got it! Thx!

What the heck does "strength of victory" mean? Victory of who? As compared to what? Seems vague to me...

The SOV is the record of the teams you beat. Take the 12 Arizona victims and compare against the 12 Green Bay victims. Crazy, but the New Orleans/Tampa Bay game could determine the top seed in the NFC. . .

We lead big-time however, and it may take the GB victims winning every possible opportunity to overtake our victims' record, if it isn't already out of reach.
