Pitt State, MSSU football legends represented on D2Football’s all-quarter century team

JOPLIN, MO. — Both the Pittsburg State and Missouri Southern football program received recognition on D2Football’s All-Quarter Century Team.

The list represents the top talent to grace the football field at the Division II level between the years of 2000 and 2025.

Starting with Pittsburg State, four Gorillas greats were represented on the team including John Brown (2011-2013), Germaine Race (2003-2006), Devon Garrison (2020-2023) and Aaron McConnell (200-2003).

Brown was named to the first-team special teams unit, Race and Garrison were each selected for the second-team offense and McConnell was named second-team defense.

Missouri Southern was represented by a pair of Lions legends with Brandon Williams (2008-2012) earning a first-team defense nod and Allen Barbre (2003-2006) being tabbed second-team defense.
