Detroit — The Detroit Pistons were well represented among the top 15 players selected for the league's All-NBA teams for the 2025-26 season. The NBA announced Sunday that Cade Cunningham and Jalen Duren were both named to an honorary team.
Cunningham's MVP-caliber season earned him All-NBA First Team honors. He became the first Pistons player to be named to the First Team since Grant Hill did so during the 1996-97 season. Duren earned third-team honors.
Cunningham received his second All-NBA nod after leading the Pistons to a 60-win regular season, averaging 23.9 points on 56.1% shooting from the field, 34.2% from 3-point range, to go along with 9.9 assists and 5.5 rebounds. Cunningham's impact extended beyond his offensive play, as he became a respected two-way player who averaged 1.4 steals and 54 blocks.
Cunningham made the first team alongside Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Oklahoma City Thunder), Luka Doncic (Los Angeles Lakers), Nikola Jokić (Denver Nuggets) and Victor Wembanyama (San Antonio Spurs). Gilgeous-Alexander was named league MVP last week for the second consecutive season, with Cunningham finishing fifth.
For the second consecutive year, the Pistons had a player who received third-team honors. Duren, a former first-round pick, set career highs across the board with 41 double-doubles, averaging 19.5 points and 10.5 rebounds in 70 games. He was also named to his first All-Star team in February. By landing his first All-NBA selection, Duren is now eligible to sign a rookie-max extension worth five years, $287 million.
Duren is joined on the third team by Chet Holmgren (Oklahoma City Thunder), Jalen Johnson (Atlanta Hawks), Tyrese Maxey (Philadelphia 76ers) and Jamal Murray (Denver Nuggets).
The All-NBA Second Team includes Jaylen Brown (Boston Celtics), Jalen Brunson (New York Knicks), Kevin Durant (Houston Rockets), Kawhi Leonard (Los Angeles Clippers) and Donovan Mitchell (Cleveland Cavaliers).
