It was no secret that New England Patriots rookie offensive tackle Dametrious Crownover was a massive human being, but nothing can prepare fans for what it actually looks like on the football field.
A picture of the Patriots' sixth-round draft pick working out with second-year starting left tackle Will Campbell went viral on social media. Crownover, who stands at 6-foot-7 and 319 pounds, absolutely towers over Campbell, who is billed as 6-foot-6 and 319 pounds.
The Patriots might have gotten a steal with Crownover, a former Texas A&M standout with rare physical gifts. Technique can be taught with good coaching, but there's no teaching that kind of size and raw power.
The image was uploaded to the Patriots' Instagram page.
Crownover is expected to serve as one of the reserve options behind Campbell and longtime NFL veteran right tackle Morgan Moses.
He's still green in some areas, and the coaching staff will work throughout the spring and summer getting him up to speed. If everything comes together, the future looks incredibly bright for Crownover.
