An icon in the city of Philadelphia, Phillies star Bryce Harper was recently asked about LeBron James while mic'd up mid-game and acknowledged that the 76ers are in pursuit of the 23-year veteran.
“I think he’s going to the Cavs. I think he’s going back home to end his career there. But you never know. Obviously, [the Sixers] got a couple guys over there that are fun to play with. They got Jaylen Brown. You wanna come to a crazy city and have some fun? This is it,” said Harper.
Just as Harper mentioned, landing both Jaylen Brown and James in the same offseason to accompany the core of Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe would be unbelievable.
Although the two are stars from different sports, Harper and James share one major similarity, as both are huge Ohio State fans. James, due to his hometown, and Harper, because his wife played soccer at the university.
