PHILADELPHIA – The Phillies’ record moved back above .500 during a 4-2 California swing.
Now the Phillies (30-29) will hope they can stack more wins onto that mark at the start of a 6-game homestand.
The San Diego Padres, whom the Phillies swept in a 3-game set last week, are in town for the start of another 3-game series.
First pitch is at 6:40 p.m. NBC Sports Philadelphia is airing the game.
Aaron Nola (3-4, 5.72) will start on the mound for the Phillies. He is back from paternity leave after the birth of his and wife Hunter Jayde’s son Walter Jude.
Randy Vasquez (5-3, 2.28) starts for the Padres.
