All is well in Philadelphia as the Phillies look to return to Citizens Bank Park and take on the Washington Nationals in a three-game home stand.
Philadelphia will look to turn their win streak to three games as ace pitcher Zach Wheeler takes the mound against MacKenzie Gore to open the series.
The NL East has been as competitive as can be as everyone is chasing the division-leading New York Mets and their best record in the league.
Phillies manager, Rob Thomson spoke to the press on Tuesday to discuss some of the concerns the Philadelphia has in the pitching rotation. One name that fans have been curious about is left-handed pitcher Ranger Suarez.

Suarez was placed on the 15-day injured list after noticing back soreness in the spring. He has yet to make his debut in 2025 but he's looking to come back soon.
"He's going to throw bullpen here tomorrow and then we'll make a decision on where he's going," Thomson told the press in regard to Ranger Suarez.
This news is huge in the progress of the lefty. His practice in the bullpen will determine if Suarez will need another rehab start in Triple-A Lehigh Valley or if he's ready to make his first start of the season for the Phillies.
Suarez was an All-Star in 2024 and won NL Pitcher of the Month in back-to-back months in March and April of last year.
His averages were looking awesome before his back injury began to be a problem – pitching a 3.46 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and had a record of 12-8 with 145 strikeouts in 150.2 innings pitched last year.
If Suarez is able to return, it won't be likely that he makes a start in the Phillies' three-game home stand this week, but look for his status to be updated sometime this week.
