With the Colts out of control of their own playoff hopes after another loss, veteran quarterback Philip Rivers spoke about who he is rooting for this Saturday as the postseason-bound Chargers host the Texans.

For the Colts to remain in postseason contention entering their Week 17 matchup against the Jaguars on Sunday, they need the Texans to lose to the Chargers and, obviously, a win over the Jaguars.

“I’m sure I’ll be tuned in (Saturday)," Rivers said. "It’s like being a fan... Pulling for the Chargers will be an easy one to pull for.”

Rivers amassed 59,271 passing yards and 397 touchdown passes during his 16 years with the team (all in San Diego), which ranks first in franchise history in both categories. He had a record of 123-101 during that span, including making the playoffs six times and going 5-6 in 11 postseason games.

While he hopes to salvage a once-promising Colts season that injuries have derailed, the 44-year-old future Hall of Famer undoubtedly still has a soft spot for the Bolts.

The Chargers-Texans matchup at SoFi Stadium is scheduled for a 1:30 p.m. PT start with the game broadcast on the NFL Network.
