On the surface, shooting a 72 on an opening day of good scoring at the Cognizant Classic doesn't seem too exciting. But we're pretty sure David Ford will remember his wild round at PGA National for a long time.

The 23-year-old budding star authored one of the most electrifying stretches of golf imaginable during his Thursday back nine. Unfortunately, it came after a rough quadruple bogey. But it was all part of his roller-coaster round.

Let's start with the bad. And with Ford getting a bit muddy on his way to making a seven on the par-3 17th (he started on the back nine):

Bear Trap! But what a bounceback this young man would make starting a few holes later. First, Ford holed out for eagle from 144 yards on No. 2:

Then he holed out for another eagle on the next hole, this time dunking a pitch shot:

And then he did the unthinkable on the next, holing his bunker shot:

Wow. Cue DJ Khaled saying, "ANOTHER ONE!" Ford finished No. 1 in the PGA Tour University standings last year so we know the dude can play, but this was insane.

Now the last one was only for par, but still, THREE hole-outs in a row?! What are the odds?! While someone much better at math figures that out, we'll go ahead and say it's a lock this won't happen again for a while.
