The PFL SmartCage heads to Madrid, Spain and the Palacio Vistalegre on Friday for the middleweight championship fight.

Costello van Steenis defends his title live on ESPN+ in the main event vs. Fabian Edwards. The bout serves as a rematch from a 2020 fight in Bellator between that two that saw van Steenis score a split decision.

The prelims begin at 1 p.m. ET with the main card to start at 4 p.m. ET.

A.J. McKee in PFL co-main event on ESPN+

In the co-main event, A.J. McKee battles Adam Borics in a featherweight showdown. Franco Tenaglia vs. Yassin Najid, Jacinta Austin vs. Benita van Rooij and Linton Vassell vs. Jose Augusto Azevedo round out the main card.

Vassell was expected to square off with Denis Goltsov in a rematch from PFL 1 in 2024, but Goltsov, the 2024 PFL heavyweight tournament winner, was forced out and replaced by Azevedo.

This is the first PFL event since the promotion went to Dubai on February 7 with Usman Nurmagomedov defending his lightweight title with a submission win over Alfie Davis.

From Madrid, the PFL returns to the United States on Saturday, March 28 with PFL Pittsburgh, as Johnny Eblen takes on Bryan Battle live on ESPN2 from the UPMC Events Center in Moon Township, Pennsylvania.
