The Minnesota Vikings draft class has been seen by many as either a mix of very good for the picks they had or a missed opportunity, given how close this roster is.

Here at Vikings Wire, we also feel mixed about it all, but one thing is universally believed: Donovan Jackson will hit the ground running for the team. The Ohio State guard has offensive line positional versatility paired with excellent anchoring ability and a punch that will make him a nightmare for defensive linemen this year and for years to come.

PFF also believes that as they view Donovan Jackson as a "virtual lock" to start for Minnesota in 2025.

Of course, Jackson will compete with Blake Brandel for the other starting guard spot opposite Will Fries after being drafted. The former Buckeye will have the advantage though on talent and draft capital alone. When you add in that Brandel was a rollercoaster of performances in 2024 and is on an expiring contract in 2025, the writing is on the wall for him to take over.

An offensive line of Christian Darrisaw, Donovan Jackson, Ryan Kelly, Will Fries, and Brian O'Neill is going to be one of, if not the best, offensive lines in the NFL.
