Flame me if you will, but i checked this board after being gone for a few days, and there is a lot of negativity! The draft hasn't happened yet... IMO everyone needs to chill out.

I think people are getting sucked in on the mis-information leading into the draft... let's just wait to see what actually happens. Then, I think we will have the right to complain. Until then, I'm holding off on my criticism.

Rod Graves hasn't signed a receiver, that we know nothing about health wise... Has anyone here seen the medical reports, and MRI's ?... I will refrain from judgment, and let the football guys do their job (something we have been critical about letting the organization do! ) ....

I will wait to make judements on Graves, until after he has had a season under his belt... For cryin out lout, the guy inherrited a mess, and we want it instantly fixed!!! This team is broken folks, and it is gonna take a while to fix it... I took off the Rose colored glasses after last season... I think it will be a 2-3 year process, and I will wait to see how it all plays out.. I will pass judgement after there is a chance to see how it turns out....

Just venting my opinion....

I posted the same thing on another thread. I'd rather have him focused on the 30 rookies he'll be bringing in two days than freaking out because Robinson isn't signed RIGHT NOW.

If there is a medical problem with Robinson, do you think Graves would have made a contract offer as has been reported?

I have this sinking feeling they are ill-prepared for this draft.

I totally agree. They'd have to be ill-prepared at this point.

You know they counted on getting Colvin based on the efforts they were prepared to make to get him. They probably weren't even considering Suggs before, obviously thinking that Colvin was their man. Now they have to consider him.

They've dicked around with Robinson long enough where now they don't know what they need at receiver. With Robinson, they could take a chance on a 3rd round or second day guy at WR. Now they have no idea who their #1 is. Graves is still talking about June 1 for WR with one right in front of their friggin faces.

I think it's clear that they are going DT or CB at #6. The problem is that this was their plan based on getting the pass rush via OLB in Colvin. Maybe Holliday was a part of that plan as well. Doesn't really matter at this point.

They are going to F this up in a big way if they try to band-aid their original plan by taking the CB or DT anyway, and it will cost them the best quarterback in the draft. This year or last year.

I had very high expectations heading into this offseason with the cap money they had to spend and a clearer (I presumed that meant more intelligent) front office and hoped for a huge draft to really plug some holes and get this team headed to playing meaningful games in January.

They missed some opportunities, they signed a few guys whom nobody is really doing huge backflips over and then when they have a guy practically begging to play for AZ (and fill a huge need) they tell him to wait. Sheesh.

Section 11, I have this gut feeling this is going to be a draft in which the Cards get blasted by Kiper for reaching, missing "sure" picks and walking away with many of the holes they went into the draft with.

I did post a week or so back how I felt that the Cardinals might hold off on signiing Robinson to improve their Leverage in the draft. However that was before Johnson was a pretty much lock to go to Houston.

My reasoning was by not signing him, it looks(anr rightly so) that the Cards need a wr in this draft and may give them some leverage to trade down with ateam (Jets) who really want a wr.

I am not so sure that is great reasoning but it is a thought. Now I believe there are many more factors in place here. TJ, Trades, moving down, Suggs. I think I might actually agree with not signing Robinson right now when I think about it. I think the Cards may be getting offers for TJ or trading down that include a WR or extra picks to grab one.....

If the plan doesn't pull together, you have to make adjustments.

Adding Colvin, Holliday and then drafting Trufant/Kennedy/Williams/Robertson for the defense would have been HUGE. Had they added the first two, I'd be all for it. But it hasn't panned out, and they could be pissing away someone like Marino (yeah, that's right. I'm comparing him to Marino) because they don't know what else to do.

Hopefully that's not the case.
