It’s time for postseason soccer in Florida.

The final regular season power rankings were released Sunday, which means district tournament seeds are set.

Escambia and Santa Rosa County teams will play in district tournaments throughout the next two weeks. The Booker T. Washington and West Florida boys and the Gulf Breeze and Pensacola Catholic girls will look to defend their district titles, while other teams will look to strengthen their regional tournament seeds or play their way into the next step in the postseason.

Below is a schedule for each district tournament, as well as the potential playoff implications for local teams.

District 1-6A

Boys

  • Jan. 20: Quarterfinals-No. 6 Milton at No. 3 Pace, 6 p.m.; No. 5 Crestview at No. 4 Navarre, 6 p.m.
  • Jan. 23: Semifinals (at Ashton Brosnaham Park)-Milton/Pace winner vs. No. 2 Tate, 5 p.m.; Crestview-Navarre winner vs. No. 1 Niceville, 7 p.m.
  • Jan. 28: Championship (at Ashton Brosnaham Park), 6 p.m.

Tate is currently the area’s best team according to the FHSAA power rankings, but has a lot to play for in the district tournament. The Aggies are safely into the Region 1-6A field, but one more win could be the difference between a regional quarterfinal home game or an hours long road trip.

Tate is currently No. 4 in Region 1-6A and No. 16 overall in the state. However, Bucholz, the current No. 2 team in Region 1-6A, is No. 13 in the state. Bartram Trail, the No. 3 team in Region 1-6A, is No. 15 in the state. Mandarin, the No. 5 team in Region 1-6A, is No. 17.

That could mean a lot of changes between now and when regional brackets are released.

Pace, who has already quadrupled its win total from last season, needs to win the tournament to get into the field.

Niceville is not only the No. 1 team in Region 1-6A, but also the No. 1 team in the entire state. The top five teams in Region 1-6A are the top five teams in the 6A classification as well.

Girls

  • Jan. 20: Quarterfinals-No. 6 Crestview at No. 3 Navarre, 6 p.m.; No. 5 Tate at No. 4 Milton, 6 p.m.
  • Jan. 22: Semifinals (at Ashton Brosnaham Park)-Crestview/Navarre winner vs No. 2 Pace, 5 p.m.; Tate-Milton winner vs. No. 1 Niceville, 7 p.m.
  • Jan. 27: Championship at Ashton Brosnaham Park), 6 p.m.

Pace is safely in the Region 1-6A playoffs, but could use a win to feel better about hosting a regional quarterfinal. The Patriots are currently No. 4 in the region, and No. 69 in the state. Tocoi Creek and Mandarin, the current No. 5 and No. 6 teams in Region 1-6A, currently sit No. 72 and No. 76 overall in the state.

Navarre is currently the last team in the Region 1-6A field, finishing the season on a 7-2-1 run after a tough early season schedule. The Raiders are ranked No. 103 in the state. Fletcher, the last team out in Region 1-6A, is ranked No. 111 in the state.

District 1-5A

Boys

  • Jan. 20: Quarterfinals-No. 5 Pine Forest at No. 4 Escambia, 6 p.m.
  • Jan. 21: Semifinals (at Ashton Brosnaham Park)-No. 3 Booker T. Washington vs. No. 2 Choctawhatchee, 5:30 p.m.; Pine Forest-Escambia winner vs. No. 1 Gulf Breeze, 7:30 p.m.
  • Jan. 26: Championship (at Ashton Brosnaham Park), 7:30 p.m.

Gulf Breeze is the favorite to capture its first district title since 2023. The Dolphins are currently the No. 4 team in Region 1-5A, No. 19 overall in the state and are all but guaranteed to host a Region 1-5A quarterfinal.

Two-time defending district champion Booker T. Washington is the first team out of the Region 1-5A field and probably needs to win a third straight district title to qualify for the regional tournament. The Wildcats currently sit No. 72 in the state, six spots behind Region 1-5A No. 8 seed St. Augustine in the overall state rankings.

Booker T. beat Choctaw 3-2 on Jan. 8 but has lost to Gulf Breeze twice by a combined score of 6-1.

Girls (at Escambia)

  • Jan. 21: Quarterfinals-No. 5 Pine Forest at No. 4 Escambia, 6 p.m.
  • Jan. 23: Semifinals-No. 3 Choctaw vs. No. 2 Booker T. Washington, 5:30 p.m.; Pine Forest/Escambia winner vs. No. 1 Gulf Breeze, 7:30 p.m.
  • Jan. 27: Championship, 6 p.m.

Gulf Breeze is a strong favorite to repeat as district champions. The Dolphins beat Choctaw 6-0 on Jan. 13 and beat Booker T. Washington twice by a score of 4-2 in both matchups.

Gulf Breeze is currently No. 4 in Region 1-6A and No. 38 in the state and will almost certainly host a regional quarterfinal no matter what happens in the district tournament. Mosley, who is No. 5 in Region 1-5A, is ranked No. 73 in the state.

District 1-4A

Boys

  • Jan. 20: Quarterfinals- No. 5 Rickards vs. No. 4 West Florida, 5:30 p.m.; No. 6 Godby vs. No. 3 Bay, 6 p.m. at Tommy Oliver Stadium
  • Jan. 23: Semifinals-West Florida/Rickards winner vs. No. 1 Fort Walton Beach, 7 p.m.; Godby-Bay winner vs. No. 2 Wakulla, 7 p.m.
  • Jan. 27: Championship at higher seed, 7 p.m.

The defending district champion Jaguars have their work cut out to repeat as district champions. The Jaguars currently No. 33 in 4A and No. 286 in the state, while No. 1 seed Fort Walton Beach is No. 4 in 4A and No. 35 in the state.

But West Florida is still on track to make the Region 1-4A playoffs, currently sitting sixth in the region. The Jaguars, though, are the second to last team in the bracket, as no team from District 3-4A is currently ranked inside the top eight of the region. This means the District 3-4A champion could steal a bid from a potential at-large team.

Rickards, West Florida’s quarterfinal opponents is the last team in the field and is ranked No. 290 in the state, which makes that matchup a potential regional play-in game.

Girls

  • Jan 20: Quarterfinal-No. 6 Godby at No. 3 West Florida, 7 p.m.
  • Jan. 21: Quarterfinal-No. 5 Rickards at No. 4 Bay, 6 p.m. at Tommy Oliver Stadium
  • Jan. 22: Semifinals-Bay/Rickards winner at No. 1 Wakulla, 7 p.m.; Godby/West Florida winner at No. 2 Fort Walton Beach, 7 p.m.
  • Jan. 27: Championship at higher seed, 7 p.m.

West Florida will need to win the district tournament to advance to the Region 1-4A tournament. The Jaguars are 1-1 against district foes this year, losing at Fort Walton Beach 3-0 on Nov. 12 and beating Bay 2-0 on Dec. 13.

District 1-3A

Boys

  • Jan. 21: Quarterfinals-No. 5 Walton at No. 4 Freeport, 6 p.m.; No. 7 Bozeman at No. 2 Destin, 6 p.m.; No. 6 Pensacola at No. 3 Pensacola Catholic, 6 p.m.
  • Jan. 23: Semifinals-Walton/Freeport winner at No. 1 South Walton, 6 p.m.; Bozeman-Destin winner vs. Pensacola-Pensacola Catholic winner, 6 p.m.
  • Jan. 27: Championship-At Higher Seed, 6 p.m.

The Crusaders have quite a bit to play for, as they’re currently the first team out of the Region 1-3A playoffs. They currently sit No. 259 in the state. Destin, the last team in, sits No. 252 in the state.

Girls

  • Jan. 21: Quarterfinals-No. 6 Bozeman at No. 3 Freeport, 7 p.m.; No. 5 Destin at No. 4 Walton, 7 p.m.
  • Jan. 23: Semifinals-Destin-Walton winner at No. 1 South Walton, 7 p.m.; Bozeman-Freeport winner at No. 2 Pensacola Catholic, 7 p.m.
  • Jan. 27: Championship at higher seed, 7 p.m.

South Walton and Pensacola Catholic are the top two teams in Region 1-3A and are the clear favorites to meet for the District 1-3A title.

The Crusaders beat the Seahawks 2-0 in their season opener back on Nov. 5, but Catholic will have to travel to South Walton for a potential district final.

The Crusaders lost to the Seahawks in both the district and regional final a year ago.
