Unlike last season, Penn State does get to play in the Big Ten Tournament this year. So technically this isn’t their last game. But, with the way things have worked out for them, it’ll likely be one of two. Can the Lions put something together and split the series with Rutgers? We’ll find out in short order.

Opponent Preview
We saw this one a few weeks ago. Penn State, the home team, was favored by 4.5 then got run out of their own gym. Unfortunately, Penn State doesn’t have the ability to return the favor. Chalk it up to a team composed of mostly freshmen, chalk it up to, like a season ago, Penn State having to play with a less than full roster due to injury, or chalk it up to the team having thrown in the towel at this point, the Lions are not likely to put up much of a fight int his one. With 18th place in the conference locked in, the Lions don’t have much to play for, and I’m afraid we may see that on the court.
I’d rather slit my wrists than say a ********* word about Rutgers.
What to Watch For
- Mingo – In a complete departure from my BSD persona, I have to be that guy (no, not ThatGuy), but it’ll be interesting to see if Mingo is available. If he’s healthy, will he play, or, with the season already done for, will he opt to just pack it up?
- Pride – That’s all the team has left to play for. Will they put up a good last showing before the Big Ten Tournament, or are we in offseason mode?
Prediction
Neither of these teams is any good, but Rutgers appears to be more “any good” than Penn State. The home team does the same thing they did on the road. Rutgers 99, Penn State 66
