Paul McMillan IV, who starred at Hughes and Woodward High School, has entered the transfer portal, according to a Portal Report post McMillan shared on his Instagram account.
McMillan sat out the 2025-26 season. As a junior, he ranked 20th in the nation in scoring (20 points per game) at Canisius during the 2024-25 season.
He committed to Grambling State in June 2025.
McMillan started his college career at New Jersey Institute of Technology, playing in 25 games as a freshman. He played one season at Central Michigan, averaging 8.3 points over 31 games.
As a high school senior at Woodward in 2022, McMillan was named the Gatorade Ohio Boys Basketball Player of the Year after passing LeBron James for sixth place on the Ohio High School Athletic Association's all-time scoring list. McMillan currently ranks seventh with 2,658 career points.
