Pau Cubarsi gives his verdict on Barcelona targets Alessandro Bastoni and Julian Alvarez

Pau Cubarsi has been asked about Barcelona targets Alessandro Bastoni and Julian Alvarez and has been full of praise for both players.

Bastoni keeps on being linked with a move to Barcelona ahead of the summer transfer window, and Cubarsi was asked if the Inter star would be a good fit for the Catalan giants.

“He’s a spectacular center-back. I’ve only seen him play a few times, but we all know the level he’s at,” he told Mundo Deportivo.

“But this is something that depends on the forwards. I think we have spectacular center-backs, and we’re very happy with the work we all do in the back.”

Julian Alvarez is another player whose name keeps cropping up and Cubarsi says he has the level to play for Hansi Flick’s side.

“Julián is a spectacular player. I’ve played against him more often and had to defend against him,” he added.

“He’s a world-class striker, at Barça level, but both Robert and Ferran are very good and help us a lot.”

Barcelona are once again heading into the summer transfer window in need of reinforcements but still ensure of the level of investment that will be available to bring in new players.
