The New England Patriots caught a major break on offense, while simultaneously taking a hit on the defensive side of the ball.
Veteran wide receiver Mack Hollins has been activated from injured reserve and cleared to return for Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the Denver Broncos. Hollins had the fourth-most receiving yards for the Patriots in the season, and he will serve as another big-bodied target for Patriots quarterback Drake Maye to utilize against a talented Broncos defense.
With that said, the Patriots also ruled out veteran edge rusher Harold Landry III. That means they will be without their leading sack artist in the season. The good news for the Patriots is the fact that outside linebacker Anfernee Jennings has stepped up in a major way throughout the playoffs.
They will need another strong performance from the veteran defender to make up for the loss of Landry in this matchup. The Broncos are starting their backup quarterback, Jarrett Stidham, but he will be playing behind one of the better offensive lines in the league.
Here are the inactives for both teams in the AFC title game:
OLB Harold Landry III
CB Kobee Minor
T Marcus Bryant
G Caedan Wallace
TE C.J. Dippre
WR Efton Chism III
QB Tommy DeVito
WR Troy Franklin
S JL Skinner
LB Karene Reid
C Alex Forsyth
WR Michael Bandy
DL Jordan Jackson
DE Sai'vion Jones
