Patriots training camp: Live updates from scrimmage vs. Colts

The New England Patriots will get their first taste of real competition on Tuesday with the Indianapolis Colts visiting for a joint training camp practice.

Patriots coach Mike Vrabel stated before practice that quarterback Drake Maye is unlikely to play in Week 1 of the preseason. That probably means other starters for the team will sit out for the first game as well.

So the scrimmage against the Colts might be the only chance this week that the team gets to test its starting offense and defense against another team's top units.
