The New England Patriots will put on the pads for the first time in training camp on Thursday.

It marks the most important practice of the summer for the team up to this point. The competition will get more physical, and the team will have an opportunity to see where players currently stand in the pecking order on the roster.

This will also be the best chance to get a look at the running backs, offensive line protections, and edge rushing. It will be as close to real football competition as the team has experienced since their last game of the NFL season.

Check back for live updates from Day 5 of training camp practice.
