"You're going to get the best play out of me each and every game," Jacas said. "Anything I can do to help the team win, I'm going to do it, whatever it takes."
Those words offered a revealing introduction to the player New England selected with the No. 55 overall pick in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
Jacas did not guarantee a specific number of sacks, predict a starting role or make any grand declarations about his rookie season. Instead, he focused on effort, sacrifice and winning.
For a young player trying to establish himself in coach Mike Vrabel's program, that is a sensible place to begin.
