Sorry. I’m just tired of the lame excuse, as if the Cardinals play football in a vacuum where injuries don’t happen to every team in the league. The Niners, Bucs and Lions are all MASH units and they’re all amongst the best teams in football. Why? Because they have superior coaching and depth. We have neither and that’s why we lose close games. Thanks for yelling at me Cheese
This, less the periods but adding in a couple more Over AndsNot. Doing. The. Same. God. Damned. Thing. That. Keeps. Failing. Over. And. Over. And. Over. Again.
technically i think we're playing the back up's back up's back up's back up's at running back? i may have missed a back up with johnson(?) now seeing timeSorry. You keep saying this but we’re down one CB who is a part time player. We have five starting-caliber defensive backs.we are down CBs who are injured
How many starters is one All Pro worth? What about two?Yes the 49s have injuries but they don't have 20% of their starters injured

Sad starting cbsSean Murphy-Bunting
Starling Thomas
Garrett Williams
That's 3 by my math
As for the others and this was as of a couple of weeks ago when Kyler was out
Sean Murphy-Bunting
Starling Thomas
Garrett Williams
BJ Ojulari
L.J. Collier
James Conner
Trey Benson
Tip Reiman
Walter Nolan
Darius Robinson - still not played yet
Kyler Murray
This is 11 players out of the 53 man roster we planned on which by my math is 21% (or 20.7% if you want to be picky)
Obviously losing the starting QB is the worst but losing our starting RB and his backup in a run first offence is disastrous. Losing Conner is why we can't close out games.
None is those guys are starters or would have been. SMB was injured in January. What are you on about?Sean Murphy-Bunting
Starling Thomas
Garrett Williams

Everyone crowed about how Johnson and Melton were gonna step up and be starters this year before injuries forced their hand, but even if they didn’t, SMB was awful last year and Williams wasn’t a starter.Starling, SMB, & Williams. That's 3 cbs we are without.
Losing a starting QB and starting running back is disastrous? Okay… then how are the Niners 5-2 losing a starting QB and all THREE of their starting WRs for multiple games plus All Pros on D like Bosa and Warner? As for the others and this was as of a couple of weeks ago when Kyler was out

You don’t stop an essential part of the game. You redesign your attack or you keep running it until you learn to make it work. There must be a couple dozen routes you could experiment with.I think some of this comes from leading so much in these games. It's easy to take risks when you are behind or feel like you have nothing to lose. I would like to see more aggressiveness from the defense overall, but this team doesn't seem to be effective at blitzing and it might be because we are less frequent in doing so.
Coaching, scheme, adaptability. Rinse and repeat. You don’t stop an essential part of the game. You redesign your attack or you keep running it until you learn to make it work. There must be a couple dozen routes you could experiment with.
Don't Sweat itI thought this was a pass rush thread?
I think my point isn't making excuses of why we are sucking, it's that it isn't a simple answer.Losing a starting QB and starting running back is disastrous? Okay… then how are the Niners 5-2 losing a starting QB and all THREE of their starting WRs for multiple games plus All Pros on D like Bosa and Warner?
And did you really list BJ Ojulari?!
The above is why I yelled at you.
