The 2026 NFL Draft is now just three days away!
So, has the focus on who we think the Carolina Panthers will take with this year's first-rounder become clearer? Well, according to some of the latest projections, it has.
Here is our latest mock draft roundup, which stars a certain Oregon Ducks pass catcher . . .
Pick: Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon
Author: Nate Davis
Take: The first tight end in combine history to record a sub-4.4 40, Sadiq, who also had a 43½-inch vert, certainly made some money in Indianapolis. And maybe he gets paid in Charlotte, where the Panthers haven't gotten much from their tight ends in recent seasons and could use another weapon that would provide an easy target for QB Bryce Young. Sadiq is also a willing blocker in the run game.
Pick: Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon
Author: Chad Reuter
Take: However GM Dan Morgan chooses to proceed with Bryce Young after exercising the fifth-year option on his rookie contract, adding the explosive Sadiq to his stable of pass catchers will maximize Carolina's chances of getting the most out of the QB.
Pick: Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon
Author: Danny Heifetz
Take: Carolina needs a safety, but with the top three gone, head coach Dave Canales will want a player who can start. “I don’t believe in drafting for depth,” Canales said in March. Sadiq can provide a lot more pop than tight end Tommy Tremble and is a more willing blocker than tight end Ja’Tavion Sanders. With the league running more plays with two and three tight ends on the field at the same time, the Panthers could use Sadiq as the next playmaker around Bryce Young—alongside Tetairoa McMillan and Jalen Coker—to take Carolina’s offense to the next level.
Pick: Kenyon Sadiq
Author: Charles McDonald
Take: Carolina spent a lot of money on defense the past two offseasons, so here it can take another first-round offensive playmaker. Sadiq is an explosive weapon in the passing game who gives just enough as a blocker to show promise as a high-impact, every down tight end. Sadiq and Tetairoa McMillan would give defenses a lot of headaches with their size and athleticism as pass catchers.
Pick: Caleb Downs, S, Ohio State
Author: Bryant McFadden
Take: This is a home run. Downs, Lloyd and Phillips give Carolina a top-10 defensive core instantly, making this unit look beyond scary.
Pick: Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon
Author: Geoff Schwartz
Take: Carolina continues to add weapons for Bryce Young. Sadiq is a mismatch for anyone guarding him while being a willing blocker in the run game.
