The Carolina Panthers might be closer to getting back a huge presence on offense.
Starting right guard Robert Hunt, who hasn't played since tearing his biceps back in Week 2, was considered a full participant for Tuesday's walkthrough. His estimation was a step up from last week, where he was listed as limited from Wednesday to Friday.
Head coach Dave Canales was asked about Hunt's outlook for the team's huge Week 18 showdown with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Saturday.
"He had another great day. We were able to give him more, we gotta push him a little bit more tomorrow as well," Canales told reporters. "And we'll have a couple more days to look at that, to make a decision for this week. Then we gotta see what happens. I wouldn't say today, like, 'Yes, Rob's going.' But today was a step in the right direction."
The 2024 Pro Bowler had his 21-day practice window opened during Week 17, giving him a chance to suit up for this weekend's regular-season finale.
Carolina has started a handful of different options in Hunt's stead—including Chandler Zavala, Brady Christensen, Jake Curhan and, most recently, Austin Corbett.
