Rasheed Walker may have been the most overlooked 6-foot-6, 324-pound free agent of 2026.

The soon-to-be fifth-year offensive lineman spoke to reporters on Thursday—almost two weeks after signing his one-year, $4 million pact with the Carolina Panthers. That relatively small deal came as a surprise to many, especially since he was widely considered to be the top left tackle on the market.

But Walker, no matter the numbers, feels like he's in the right spot.

"I feel like wherever I landed, they were getting a steal anyway because what I bring to a team is, I bring intensity," Walker stated, via Darin Gantt of Panthers.com. "I'm a great teammate. I work hard, and I go hard for my teammates.

"I feel like, by the grace of god, I landed in Carolina. I feel like it's going to be a great fit and I'm just ready to do my job."

Walker played his first four NFL campaigns for the Green Bay Packers, with three coming as their starting left tackle. He'll be asked to do the same by the Panthers, at least early on, as Ikem Ekwonu recovers from a torn patellar tendon.

Entering free agency, the 26-year-old was projected to land a contract worth around $20 million a season. Per Spotrac, he'll earn approximately $3.21 million in guarantees from Carolina and can add up to $680,000 in incentives through per-game bonuses.
