The Carolina Panthers are getting back a huge piece of their offense for tomorrow's long-awaited return to the playoffs.
As announced on Friday, right guard Robert Hunt has been activated from injured reserve. The Pro Bowl offensive lineman is expected to start in the team's wild-card clash against the Los Angeles Rams.
Hunt missed the final 15 games of the regular season after tearing his biceps in Carolina's Week 2 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. He was listed as a full participant in practice on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and entered the weekend as questionable for Saturday's contest.
Head coach Dave Canales offered up a promising outlook on Hunt's status following yesterday's session.
"He had another fantastic day," Canales told reporters. "He was out there with his guys. I'm very optimistic about Rob playing—and I can't put anything official out there until, of course, we come up with the final roster and all that stuff. But he looked great."
Canales added that Hunt will start as long as he's good to go. Well, he's good to go.
