Palace to speak with Pierre Sage as club looks to replace Oliver Glasner

Crystal Palace are set for talks with Pierre Sage over the manager's job following the departure of Oliver Glasner.

The Austrian ended his stint at the Eagles with another trophy when Palace defeated Rayo Vallecano in the Conference League final.

Glasner will be a difficult act to follow with the club's board now tasked with the job of finding a suitable replacement. Former Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola had been linked to the role but he is now believed to be taking over from Arne Slot at Liverpool.

Instead, Palace may turn to Lens manager Pierre Sage with journalist Sami Mokbel of BBC Sport reporting that talks are set to begin.

Lens had an exceptional season in France, finishing second behind Paris Saint-Germain and winning the Coupe de France after defeating OGC Nice 3-1 in the final.
