Caitlin Clark’s record-setting performance for the Indiana Fever caught the attention of one of the biggest personalities in golf. Paige Spiranac watched Clark deliver one of the greatest offensive games in WNBA history Friday night, scoring a franchise-record 45 points in Indiana’s thrilling 110-107 victory over the Seattle Storm.
After Clark’s historic night, Spiranac revealed that she has one major wish involving the Fever superstar.
“I would do anything to one day play a round of golf with Caitlin Clark,” Spiranac wrote on X. “She’s her.”
Spiranac’s message quickly created the possibility of a must-see pairing between two of the most recognizable women in sports.

Spiranac played college golf at Arizona and San Diego State before briefly pursuing a professional career. She has since built a massive following through golf instruction, commentary and social media content. Clark is best known for her unlimited shooting range on the basketball court, but she has also developed a reputation as an avid golfer.
The Fever guard has competed in multiple pro-am events and frequently plays during the WNBA offseason. She participated in The Annika pro-am in November 2024 and returned to the event in 2025, drawing huge galleries both times. Clark has also played alongside several prominent professional golfers, including Nelly Korda and Annika Sorenstam.
A round featuring Clark and Spiranac would attract considerable attention, especially if cameras were present. Both have enormous audiences and share a genuine passion for golf.
Spiranac’s request may have sounded ambitious, but Clark has already shown she is comfortable playing with major names from the golf world.
Caitlin Clark makes WNBA history against Seattle
Spiranac delivered her message after Clark produced a performance that will be remembered for years. Clark finished with 45 points and 10 assists against Seattle, becoming the first player in WNBA history to record at least 40 points and 10 assists in the same game.
The 45 points also established a Fever franchise record. Clark made 12 field goals, connected on four 3-pointers and converted 17 of her 19 free-throw attempts. Most importantly, Indiana needed nearly every bit of that production to escape with a three-point victory.
Clark’s performance was even more impressive because she entered the game on a minutes restriction. Fever coach Stephanie White planned to limit her playing time, but Clark refused to allow the restriction to end her historic night early with the outcome still undecided.
She played 39 minutes and helped Indiana survive a furious challenge from Seattle. Clark returned to the court less than 24 hours later and contributed 17 points and seven assists in the Fever’s 108-88 victory over the New York Liberty. Indiana improved to 16-10 and moved into first place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Paige Spiranac makes Caitlin Clark stance clear
Spiranac’s final two words carried plenty of meaning. By declaring “She’s her,” Spiranac offered an emphatic endorsement of Clark amid another widespread debate about the guard’s standing in the WNBA.
Former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III recently argued that Clark is already the face of the league because of her popularity, influence and ability to attract new viewers. Former ESPN host Jemele Hill disagreed, saying Clark is the league’s most popular player and biggest draw but has not yet replaced Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson as its defining figure. Hill pointed toward Wilson’s championships and individual accomplishments as the standard Clark must eventually reach.
Spiranac did not directly address that argument, but she left no question about her admiration for Clark.
