The Green Bay Packers are trading wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks to the Philadelphia Eagles and will acquire a pair of draft picks in return, including a fifth-round pick in 2026, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.

How could the Wicks trade, both in terms of the player lost and draft capital added, change how the Packers approach the 2026 draft?

Using PFF's mock draft simulator, which allowed us to execute the trade, here's a look at a potential seven-round draft for the Packers:

After losing Romeo Doubs in free agency and trading away Wicks, there was real temptation to use the 52nd overall pick on Alabama wide receiver Germie Bernard, a terrific fit in Green Bay. But with an extra pick in tow, the Packers can afford to be patient at receiver, so the pick was Dani Dennis-Sutton, a Packers type at edge rusher through and through. DDS was productive over multiple seasons at Penn State, has ideal size and tested like a 99-percentile athlete at a premium position.

The wide receiver replacement arrived one round later in the form of De'Zhaun Stribling, another box-checker for the Packers. He could go earlier than No. 84, but he has to be considered a real option for the Packers on Day 2. Stribling looks the part at 6-2 and 207 pounds, ran 4.38 in the 40, blocks like crazy in the run game, wins in contested situations and catches everything. Easy fit.

In the fourth round, the Packers took cornerback Will Lee III, who will visit Green Bay pre-draft. He's on the lighter side, but his length, athleticism and experience on the perimeter given him starting potential.

The pick acquired from trading away Wicks was spent on offensive tackle Austin Barber, a long-time starter at left who fits Green Bay's athletic benchmarks. He might have guard flexibility, but he'll also provide an insurance plan at left and right tackle long-term. Adding a pick via trade allowed the Packers to get a receiver and an offensive lineman without sacrificing the help required on the defensive side in this scenario.

DeMonte Capehart is a mock draft favorite for the Packers because he tested extremely well and could fill an important role as a run-stuffing interior defender. He has upside as an elite athlete and former five-star recruit.

The sixth round brought Kaelon Black, the insurance plan at running back. He's experienced and fits what the Packers look for in terms of size and athleticism. Plus, he visited Green Bay pre-draft.

The seventh round was for dart throws at elite athletes in the defensive front seven. Jordan van den Berg and Jaden Dugger both tested like truly special athletes and came to Green Bay as pre-draft visitors.
