Cold and snowy weather is expected Saturday night, Jan. 10, at Soldier Field in Chicago for the Green Bay Packers' NFC wild-card playoff game against the Chicago Bears.
While there won't be widespread heavy snow for the 7 p.m. game, Chicago is expecting periods of snow showers that could result in brief accumulation, according to Todd Kluber, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Chicago.
Less than a half-inch of snow is expected, a NWS Chicago forecast shows.
Kluber said forecasters are also expecting "fairly blustery conditions." West winds could produce gusts between 20 and 30 mph.

The temperature will likely be around freezing around kickoff, though Kluber said it'll feel much colder as the game progresses.
"With the wind and the slightly falling temperatures, [we're] looking at wind-chill values there in the mid- to upper teens through most of the evening hours," Kluber said.
With light snow also expected in southeastern Wisconsin, if you're planning on attending the game, make sure you stay up-to-date with the forecast on the NWS website.
